I have also had the opportunity to take a deep and lengthy look into another aspect of your world–your business.  And most often this is not a pretty picture.

In fact, quite regularly this is a total and complete disaster.  It is estimated that 80% of practitioners in the healing arts world (if left to their own income) live below the poverty line.

I am often known for motivation, uplift, and inspiration.  I can also be counted on to tell the truth and to speak hard things when the situation calls for it.  Today is one of those days.  I do it because this can be the very best way to love people, and it’s wrong to feed hurting people chicken soup when the truth will serve them better.

I know that it can be difficult to look at your business and tell the truth. I know that it takes a lot of courage to go where most people in this industry do not go.  I understand that when you are a person so spiritually oriented, that you may at times feel burdened or bothered by these things.  You feel special.  And you are special…but you are not above functioning in excellence in the physical world.

Today, I am asking you to LOOK at this, because if you do not look–and you do not change–you will never be prepared and equipped to fulfill the calling in this world that you hold.  And I feel that this is a part of my calling– to liberate this industry from poverty and uncertainty, so that this world can be healed.

So…hear me out…Read this all the way through and go through the CHECKLIST at the end and then leave a comment or email me personally at admin@heathermadder.com and let me know what you think of all this truth telling.  Trust me, I can take it.

Here we go…

If you want the world to take you seriously, you’re going to have to take yourself seriously first.  Period.

That means EXCELLENCE.  That means that YOU KNOW Your Life and your calling matters…and you show it.  In fact, it matters enough that you do NOT, and let me repeat this, you do NOT have a home-made website.

Ouch.

Or free business cards that say “vista print” on the back and the healing modality you use on the front.  (You should have the specific results you offer people, not the tool you use.) Double ouch.

And when you talk to people, you don’t feeling guilty when you tell them your session fee.  (Seriously, am I inside your life right now or what?)

It is time for those in the healing arts world to come out of obscurity and stop playing so small.  You hang out with each other, you trade services and you travel in small circles with people who are like you and speak your language.

What about the other 6.99 Billion people in the world?

Who is going to help them if you aren’t sharp, have a gorgeous business card and a hot website & look people in the eye while you speak in powerful language that makes sense to them…rather than stumbling over words trying to describe what you do?

Who else is coming?

Why do you think that you met “that” person…because you…were….the…one…who had the skills to help them, but not the skillSET to make them a regular client who refers their friends.

If you can’t take credit cards, have email optins on your blog, and write auto-responders that people actually read (if you don’t know what that word means, you really get to write me) it’s time to make some changes.

I’m talking to YOU if you have a healing gift or a coaching skill that helps other people, but your business is…let’s face it, lame or non-existent.

It’s like Ruth Chris serving filet Mignon out of a Coleman tent.  Yes, the cut is delicious and the food is mouth watering, but people don’t want to eat an 85$ steak from a structure they can buy at Walmart.

Why? Because they don’t!  Because we want CONSISTENCY.  If you can heal a person’s marriage, you should be able to take a credit card.  And yes, SPIRITUALLY SPEAKING, you may be off the charts–but if you don’t have the physical results to back it up, the vast majority of people don’t think you can bring it.  And we need you.  You are in winter season with a light parka and not a down coat.  Every HEALTHY healing arts business needs certainty stacked in LAYERS to make an impact on this planet.

When you are in total power in your life, you can help people…and you have a healthy business too.  If you don’t have healthy finances, there is a part of you that’s still broken. This is your next most critical frontier.

And you are worth it. You are worth getting the training that makes you great at business in addition to being great at your skill.  The problem is not that other people don’t value you, the problem is that YOU DON’T VALUE YOURSELF…and that’s why you haven’t made any serious downpayments into your own business development.  (see my $97 training offer at http://wakeupacademy.com to help you)

It’s simply time to learn what you don’t know and trust that the universe can bring you that, too- just like everything else.

You may have great empathy for others and know how to help them…and still carry uncertainty for yourself, and simply not know what to do.  And until you can learn what you don’t yet know…you will never take up residence here in power.

If you are in SPIRITUAL EXCELLENCE, you can just as easily be in PHYSICAL EXCELLENCE, also.

Yes, the spiritual gifts matter the most, but they are not what is seen first by the world. The dimension we live in right now–responds to the physical first.  If you really want to be good at serving people, meet them where they are–not where you are.

That means that your business cards, websites, and even YOU, need to have certain elements of “attraction” so other people are drawn to your services.

Moses came down the mountain to meet the people where they were.  He could have easily stayed up on the mountain talking to God. But it wasn’t the time for that.  It was time to get to work.

He had to come down, and right around the time when the gold started to harden into the shape of a calf, I’m sure it seemed like quite a descent…but he was the one.  If he didn’t go down and meet them, who would lead them higher.

That’s what SPIRITUAL BUSINESS  is all about.  We meet people at the physical, so we can walk up the mountain hand in hand and help them ascend at Soul-level.

Most people want to know if you can solve their biggest pains and problems before they even care if you can heal their spirit.  Can you save their marriage?  Can you save them from foreclosure?  Can save them from obesity?  Sure, you can do all that and a bag of chips…but they probably don’t know that yet.  So, help them lose ten pounds (and say as much on your home page)…and after they get to know you, heal their soul–which is what they wanted anyway–but didn’t know it.  That, my friends, is spiritual business.

I am asking you to do this because I care. I have a vision of a whole, healthy, and healed world.  And the way to achieve that is to empower the HEALERS.  The healthier your business is, the more people you reach.  The more money you make, the more time you have to spend helping the people who need you.

** You have an professionally designed website that captures emails when you give them ‘free offer’ that addresses the primary needs of your target audience.

** You communicate with those people on a regular basis sharing value that solves their problems.

**You are clear about the primary problems you solve in the physical dimension.

**You are clear about the secondary problems you solve in the emotional, spiritual, and relational dimensions. (and you can share it quickly with ease.)

**You have new leads coming into your business every day and measurable ways that you attract those leads.

**You are comfortable selling your services and you have a system for selling easily.

**You have multiple streams of income and you can make money even when you are not at work.

**You can easily pay all of your bills and your business increases it’s income on a regular and predictable basis.

Friday I was having dinner with my husband and I said to him, “Some key people I am looking for on my doTERRA team right now are people who can SELL.  Everyone falls in love with the products, and we can totally support newcomers with coaching, but we have sooo many leads, and I need a sales team.”

“I totally agree,” he said with a mouthful of sea bass.  (That I kept sneaking bites of.

The next day I spend the morning at the zoo with my kids and in the afternoon I was walking into my church to watch the Pinewood Derby of my nine-year old son.  I looked across the parking lot and a woman–that I have known for 5 years–was walking towards me, her own little boy scout in tow.  She had just moved back to Arizona last month.

Turns out that she did $150K in sales for the National Spa company she works for and she’s top 10 in the nation.  They call her the “Closer.”  And yes, she’d absolutely love to come on my team and sell wellness products, as she’s been wanting some residual income.  She’s signing up Monday.

All of my life I’ve been desiring to live this way.  Where I want things and then they show up for me.  When I was younger, I thought I didn’t deserve good things.  I thought life was supposed to be hard and that I was destined to struggle.  I was crawling on the ground, inching myself forward–and I fiercely defended that that was just the way life was.  Then I woke up and found out that I had been lied to by life and that as God’s creation, I deserved only good things, and if I followed certain laws, I could get them.

The pain I felt from bloody knees was because I had been believing Lies–and living them out.  I’m not so gullible now.  As I am having more intimate experiences with my Creator, I am having more experiences with my true, Divine Self.

Life is giving me constant opportunities to uncover Higher, Deeper, better versions of who I am, as the original offspring of Gods, not Humans.

I feel the purpose of my life is to reveal the depths of who I am.  I am seeing more and more, that there are deep abilities in me still yet unrealized and un-remembered.

Earth experiences bring them out.  Loving people brings them out.  Building relationships brings them out.  Running a company brings them out.  These experiments require that I push past the “smaller versions of me” and dig down to the deeper layers, so the God-like part of me can rise to full view.

The experiences I am having lately are teaching me that there is nothing in short supply for any of us.  There is more than enough love, ample amounts of friends, and that the Earth has very deep pockets for everyone to live in financial prosperity.

If we’d get up off the ground, walk upright, ask, seek, knock and be firm in belief, things are granted according to our desires.

We are told that the Kingdom of God is within us.

It’s not “up there,” “out there,” or somewhere over the rainbow in a fairy tale land we can’t get to.

It’s…IN…US.

That means everything we are looking for, we already have.  Time to go deep and find it.

At the loss continued, I could stay no longer and went to another movie that I had already seen, but that had a message of LOVE, and HOPE…and it was amazing.  So glad I moved locations.

Recently, I’ve realize just how much negativity is around me and how I keep looking, hoping, praying for a better world.  The common viruses of *this one* are becoming more and more noticeable to me. Not that I am angry or frustrated about it (that’s just another virus), but I simply don’t want to be breathing it into my system.

A few nights ago, I came upstairs to snuggle with my husband in bed and watch television.  As I was climbing into bed, I blurted out, “And I don’t want to watch something weird…like the news.”  He looked at me and laughed.  A lot of people watch the news and don’t think its “weird.”

I laughed, too when I realized what I had said.  But it’s true.  I think that watching a never ending report of death, disease, poverty, crime, and all of the problems to watch out for in this world is a “weird” way to spend my time.  I don’t want those wavelengths in my frequency. I want a better world–just like a lot of people–but not by educating myself on what’s wrong with it.

Here’s the truth.  I think we are so used to the negativity and problems we have that we get think it’s normal.  It’s like being in prison and not knowing it.

We’re used to never having enough money.  We’re used to being mad at the same people for decades. We’re accustomed to feeling insecure and not good enough and being criticize and late and upset and stressed out that we don’t know the difference.

The same prison walls have been in place for decades and have been absorbed so deeply in the landscape of our minds that we just think that’s how life “looks.”

But it doesn’t.  More and more, every day, I have hope for a better world.  Every day I ask God to show me how to create that world inside myself and be an instrument of sharing it with others.

Here’s how it looks to me.  Green grass and flowers and trees grow spontaneously.  There is enough for everyone to eat and more than enough joy to go around. People live FREELY in the present.  There is no painful past we carry around.  When we look at each other, we see the very best and highest.  If someone falls, we all reach down to help them up and encourage them on their way.  Everyone shares their gifts and celebrates their own contribution. There is no competition.  The more other people win, the more we feel WE win, so we love, support, encourage and give freely.

Free will reigns.  No one manipulates or controls behavior through fear and domination.  The Spirit is free to live, act, and choose and does so according to the highest good of others.

There is no blame for what’s wrong, just people working and helping to be a part of the solution.

This is the world *I* live in.  This is the one in my mind and my heart and the one I am seeking to create IN ME.  Until I can create it “in here,” I won’t be able to help “out there.”

What’s your perfect world?  What does it look like, sound like?  How does it FEEL to live there?  I invite you to find “your perfect world” and LIVE it…and let it live through you and when there are enough of us who live at this frequency…

Then, and only then, we can bring it into reality and raise this planet back to it’s original state of PEACE, LOVE, and LIGHT.  This is our journey.

Every day I am in awe and wonder at the life that you have chosen to live.  You face your fears as though nothing can stop you.  And if you happen to get knocked down, you jump right back up and keep going.

You believe beyond what other people believe.  Your belief leads you to action–to do ‘out of the box’ things like write books, start businesses, leave secure jobs, or be the only person you know personally to follow the path you are on. 

You put yourself out there every day for the world to see.  You allow yourself to be vulnerable–to be criticized, talked about or misunderstood.  And you don’t seem to care, because there’s a new article up the next day about your purpose of helping others.

You make a difference on this planet.  You believe that your life has a purpose and you are here to make your contribution. A lot of people want to make the world a better place–BUT YOU DO SOMETHING.  You pick up a pen and start writing, flip on your video camera, open a computer, turn on a microphone–and you get out there and do something.  You’ll do it before you get paid.  You’ll do whether or not people support you–You just do it!  I love that.

This is the year of the Changemakers.  There has never been a time of greater need and there has never been such a wide open field of opportunity.

KNOW that Heaven supports you, backs you up, sends legions your way to clear your path.

Know that every day people are inspired to show up for you–to LOVE you, SUPPORT you, BELIEVE in you, and SHARE TOOLS to help move the work forward that moves through you.

Know of my deep deep love for you, for my God, and this work of creating change on this planet.

In my heart, I carry a VISION of a New Earth.  This Earth is a place of LOVE, where only PEACE and LIGHT dwell.  I have seen it in my mind’s eye many times.  One day, it will be our reality and every day I am looking to how I can contribute to this personally, and how our company can contribute collectively.  This is the whole purpose of the Changemaker Movement…and Wake Up Academy.  Our mission is to join with the many others who are working towards ushering in the New Earth for humanity.

May you feel deeply loved, appreciated and supported this year.

It is time for the World to Experience Greater Change.  Understand that YOU are that Change.

To Create a Sanctuary in my home and build an environment where my children feel loved, safe, secure and cared for, even pampered at times. I commit to be present for my family, committed to my husband and actively engaged in their lives…and when my family thinks of me, they will feel with total certainty that I am one person in the world whose love and belief in them will never waiver–that I am a sanctuary.
